When March 1st rolls around, it’s time to look ahead. Today is the meteorological first day of spring. Within weeks, we’ll start to see drab brown lawns perk up and you may find yourself picking out garden seeds and thinking baseball. Though we were spared from a miserable Connecticut winter, I still find myself longing for blue skies and warmer breezes. But the deep winter months have had great purpose. I tend to look at January as a month to conjure new ideas. February molds January’s ideas into a plan of action. By March, it’s go time. My mind is a hive full of swarming ideas competing over which will be tackled first. As the hive builds into its frenzy, I go to the once place that validates a committment. I stop at The Home Depot to pick up a couple gallons of paint. Paint one room and you’ll have sore arms, but you’ll also be well on your way to a good spring. If you get it done in March, you’ll have plenty of time to pick dandelions with you kids come sprintime.
